A passionate group of eighth grade students are helping to expand upon Ramsey’s time honored tradition of commemorating Memorial Day. The students created Field of Flags, with each flag being placed on the Smith School field to honor each fallen soldier lost during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A ceremony took place on May 24th at 7pm to commemorate and reflect upon the purpose of Memorial Day. Students have been collaborating with faculty and various members of the community in order to formalize their idea of how they can give back to the community.
